================================

As Israel continued their journey toward the Promised Land, they faced another powerful enemy.

Og, king of Bashan.

This was not just another battle.

Og was known as one of the last of the giants.

His kingdom was strong.

His cities were fortified.

His presence alone could intimidate even the bravest soldiers.

From a human perspective—

This was a fight Israel should have feared.

But before the battle even began, God spoke.

“Fear him not.”

Why would God say that?

Because the outcome was already decided.

“I will deliver him into thy hand.”

This reveals a powerful truth.

Fear loses its power when God has already declared the outcome.

Israel was not called to evaluate the size of the enemy.

They were called to trust the voice of God.

Because the battle was never really about Og.

It was about obedience.

It was about faith.

It was about whether Israel would trust God more than their fear.

And this is what makes the story powerful.

God did not remove the enemy.

He removed the fear.

He allowed Israel to face the battle—

But with assurance of victory.

This is how God often works.

He does not always remove the challenge.

But He gives you the confidence to face it.

And when Israel trusted Him—

They won.

Og was defeated.

His land was taken.

And what once looked impossible became part of their inheritance.

This teaches us something important.

The size of the obstacle does not determine the outcome.

God does.

Step by Step: Overcoming Fear in Big Battles

Listen to God’s voice
His word defines the outcome, not your fear.

Focus on the promise
Do not measure the problem—trust the Provider.

Move forward with faith
Victory requires action.

Let God fight for you
You are not alone in the battle.

See beyond the obstacle
Today’s challenge may become tomorrow’s blessing.

Fear may feel real.

But God’s promise is greater.

PRAYER

Lord, help me trust You when I face challenges that seem overwhelming.
Remove fear from my heart and replace it with faith.
Remind me that You are greater than any obstacle in my life.
Give me courage to move forward in obedience.
Amen.
