Marcos Provides Cash Aid, Medical Equipment to Cebu Hospital

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has provided cash assistance and medical equipment to a hospital in Cebu, as part of the administration’s push to strengthen local health facilities and improve access to care.

During the visit, officials said the assistance is intended to help upgrade hospital capability, support patient services, and address gaps in equipment needs. The President emphasized the importance of equipping regional hospitals so communities can receive quality care without needing to travel far.

Health and local officials welcomed the support, noting that investments in equipment and operational aid directly affect patient outcomes and service capacity. They added that continued coordination between national agencies and local hospitals is key to sustaining improvements beyond one-time assistance.

Malacañang clarified that health sector support remains a priority, particularly for facilities serving large catchment areas. As with similar initiatives, agencies will monitor utilization and maintenance to ensure that donated equipment delivers lasting impact.
